I have always wanted to start a garden but growing things has not always been easy for me. I thought it was because I did not have a "green thumb", however I have come to realize that is because it is truly an art form. While I like to paint, create and draw I never thought of Gardening as art, but it is.
This is my first year with a green house and garden boxes and I am learning everyday. Knowing what to plant when, what likes sun and what does not, how early to start certain things, getting the timing and watering schedule down, and there is much more to be learned! I am proud to say I have 4 garden boxes growing well and 14 fruit trees that survived the winter and are starting to blossom! I was so used to things dying after a short time in my care I did not realize it was because I truly did not understand what I was doing.
Some of the best things are learned through lessons, trial and error! When the plants I am growing are not taking off like i think they should, I research like others to find out what the specific plants need or don't need. Stay tuned to see if and when we harvest plants this year, I am hopeful!
